Hello! I'm Aiden, a computer programmer and app developer.

I love hiking, backpacking, and tent (or even tentless!) camping. From dramatic, mountain-top vistas to the frail beauty of an alpine paintbrush flower, I love to explore it all! I've done some volunteer trail work with the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Foundation, a non-profit that promotes stewardship of my home range of the Beartooth Mountains.

I studied blacksmithing with the Minnesota Guild of Metalsmiths. I enjoy forging trinkets, decorative pieces, and iron jewelry. I have yet to take up bladesmithing. I'm not a master yet, but I know enough to have fun and make some interesting things!

I find language studies to very enjoyable. Few things make me "nerd out" like a conversation about various languages' approaches to grammar, syntax,and phonology, and analyzing the evolution of and etymological connections between languages. I practiced Latin for over 10 years and am currently studying Icelandic. Once I firmly know those, I plan to investigate Welsh, ancient Anglo-Saxon, Koiné Greek, and possibly Czech and Inuktitut.

Cats are awesome. I have three. 'Nuff said.
